Conflicts of Interest

Jurnal Ilmu Fisika (JIF) is dedicated to handling conflicts of interest and competing interests transparently and fairly, following the principles outlined by COPE's Core Practices.

Definitions:

A conflict of interest arises when an individual’s personal interests could compromise their judgment or integrity regarding their scholarly work. This includes financial, academic, personal, or political factors.

Disclosure of Interests:

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest at the earliest possible stage, preferably upon submission of the manuscript or before the review process.

Process for Handling Conflicts:

If a potential conflict of interest is disclosed or identified, the editorial team will assess the nature of the conflict and decide on the appropriate course of action, which may include involving additional editors or reviewers, disclosing the conflict to readers, or, in severe cases, rejecting a submission or retracting a publication.

Transparency:

All articles published by JIF will include a statement summarizing any disclosed conflicts of interest or a statement that there are none.

Identification and Resolution:

Conflicts of interest identified after publication will be investigated according to COPE guidelines. Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be published as needed.

JIF’s commitment to ethical publishing practices ensures the integrity of its scholarly work and maintains trust among authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.
