Article Publication Charges (APC) and Waiver Policy
Jurnal Ilmu Fisika (JIF) provides immediate open access to its published articles. Reading and downloading articles are free of charge.
Fees
- Submission fee: IDR 0.
- Peer-review fee: IDR 0.
- Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 1,250,000 for articles covered by the fee schedule effective from Volume 16, Number 1 (March 2024).
The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed editorial review and has been accepted for publication. The journal's published fee information states that the charge includes DOI registration and a manuscript similarity check using Turnitin. The fee must not influence reviewer selection, editorial decisions, or the outcome of peer review.
Waivers
JIF offers APC waivers for eligible authors from developing countries. Authors seeking a waiver should contact the editorial office at jif@sci.unand.ac.id for information about eligibility and the request process. A waiver request does not affect the editorial assessment of a manuscript.
Transparency
JIF does not charge authors to submit a manuscript or to have it reviewed. The APC is distinct from reader access: all published articles remain freely accessible under JIF's stated open-access license.
